A few weeks ago, we found ourselves on the road yet again for a wedding session in probably the world’s most romantic and photogenic city – Venice.
Our lucky couple was just one of hundreds of newly weds or engaged couples who come to this magical fairytale location experiencing the city searching for the perfect wedding shot.
Prior to the wedding session, we managed to arrive a day earlier giving us the perfect opportunity to uncover why Venice is such an inspiring visual city and to find some cool photographic spots within the maze of streets and waterways of Venice. As we walked through the city we captured some moments we’d like to share with you….
One of the main square in Venice is San Marco known as The Piazza. The Piazza is dominated at its eastern end by the great church of St Mark. It is described here by a perambulation starting from the west front of the church (facing the length of the Piazza) and proceeding to the right.
This is one of Venice most popular tourist boat – the Gondola.
The gondola is also one of the vessels typically used in both ceremonial and competitive regattas, rowing races held amongst gondoliers using the technique of Voga alla Veneta.
